MASSED BRASS BANDS BEGIN THE SUMMER 2024 SEASON

The summer season of events began on 29 June with a superb concert from all the training bands in the Forest – and more.

In perfect sunshine, Lydbrook Training Band, Lydney Training Band and Cinderford Academy Band were joined by Ross Town Band Training Band, and a newly formed band playing in public for the first time; Forest of Dean Youth Band gave a wonderful performance, and have a great future in front of them.

The Massed Bands finale saw 65 performers providing the Scarr Bandstand’s appreciative audience with a rousing finish to a great afternoon.
