Close to 300 people enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of professional classical music on the 24th August  in perfect summer weather.   The Bute Wind Quintet were followed by Adam Khan (guitar) and Michael Bochmann (violin), all performing a superb selection of favourite classical pieces. They were   accompanied by birds in the surrounding woods, creating special Scarr Bandstand magic!

This was the first time that classical music has been performed at the Scarr Bandstand.   The event was in partnership with Wye Valley Music, and the Bandstand welcomed a number of their members –  many coming to this Forest venue for the first time.  It is hoped they will come and enjoy many more events in future.

Friends of Scarr Bandstand and Wye Valley Music are already thinking about more classical concerts for 2026 and 2027….
