Good news – we have managed to get the funding for building the permanent roof.  A huge thank you to Arts Council England for their support with this major part of the project.

We now have to find the money for foundations and groundworks – another £20,000.

We have already raised nearly £9,000 via very generous local donations given over the past four years, and…

…we have just set up a JUST GIVING page on Scarr Bandstand’s Facebook.  This has raised £740 in one day, so THANK YOU SO MUCH for those very generous donations. We are hoping to raise £1000 to push the roof project further towards success.

We are hopeful that we can source the remaining £10,000 from local funding bodies over the next few months.

After all these years of planning, putting a permanent roof on the Bandstand is looking like it might actually  happen by the end of this year!
