They seek him here, they seek him there….and on 4th August the Scarlet Pimpernel could be found at the Scarr Bandstand.  The Jenny Wren company delighted the audience with their energetic and witty take on the famous story of English nobility saving French aristocrats from the guillotine ‘for fun’.

So who is the illusive Scarlet Pimpernel?  I couldn’t possibly say, as the whole audience was sworn to secrecy…..

This is the second year that the inventive Jenny Wren company has performed at the Scarr Bandstand, with their talented cast taking multiple roles, and also singing beautifully.  We very much hope to continue to welcome them in future years.
